Red Lady is a popular hybrid papaya variety widely cultivated for its high yield and superior fruit quality. The fruits are medium to large, elongated, with smooth green skin that turns yellow-orange when ripe.

The flesh is deep red to reddish-orange, sweet, juicy, and soft, with a pleasant aroma and very few seeds. This variety is excellent for fresh consumption, as well as for juice, salads, and processing.

Red Lady papaya plants are fast-growing and early-bearing, often producing fruits within 7–9 months after planting. The plant is dwarf to medium in height, suitable for commercial cultivation and home gardens, and performs best in warm climates with well-drained soil.
