Sathukudi (Kottur) is a well-known local mandarin orange variety cultivated mainly in the Kottur region of Tamil Nadu. The fruits are medium-sized, round, with smooth, thin, deep orange skin when ripe.

The pulp is bright orange, very juicy, and sweet, with a pleasant balance of mild acidity. This variety is highly preferred for fresh consumption and juice making due to its high juice content and refreshing flavor.

The tree is a small to medium-sized evergreen citrus plant, well adapted to local climatic conditions. Fruits usually mature during the winter season (November–January) and are valued for their uniform quality, sweetness, and good market acceptance.
