Nakuvari Coconut is a traditional tall coconut variety, locally known in some regions of South India. It is valued for its strong palm structure, good nut size, and high copra content. This variety is commonly grown in coastal and rural areas and is well adapted to local climatic conditions.The palm grows tall with a robust trunk and long green fronds. It usually starts bearing fruits after 5–6 years. The nuts are medium to large, with a thick kernel suitable for copra and oil extraction. The oil obtained from Nakuvari coconut is of good quality and commonly used for cooking and traditional purposes.Nakuvari coconut palms are known for their tolerance to drought and wind, making them suitable for open field cultivation. With proper care, each tree can yield 70–100 nuts per year.
